Frocks at the Trots

On Thursday 2nd August 2012 the team at Financing Hope and friends attended the Frocks at the Trots event.

The fundraising event was held by Nordoff-Robbins who is a unique music therapy centre. I had the pleasure of visiting the centre recently to see first hand the work that is done by the team. Teaching people how to speak, amongst other things, through music is simply amazing. At the event on Thursday we were privileged to see one of their clients perform twinkle twinkle little star. My heart was stolen by Simra’s story and performance.

As part of our sponsorship one of the races was named “Financing Hope Ladyship Pace”. Needless to say we didn’t back the winner and I had stern words with the jockey when we placed the winning sash in front of the horse.

A big thank you to the talented Mandi Jarry and Amber Lawrence who entertained us all on the night with their beautiful voices.

This is one of the selected charities that Financing Hope has the pleasure of supporting on behalf of our clients an ongoing basis.

We are looking forward to next years event already.

Check out Nordoff-Robbins website for some great information about the special work they do in the community, changing people lives one note at a time.
